I have spent twenty-six years in lumber, engineered wood, and structural timber sales and design. I got my start in contractor sales and estimating. For the last nineteen years I have held an engineered design and outside technical sales position with one of the Midwest’s leading wholesale lumber distributors. Over that time my role expanded into purchasing, logistics, and multiple product lines, all managed from the same seat.
That work has put me in every part of a project. I have trained merchants and junior designers, guided installation on site, and walked buildings with code officials. I work alongside architects, engineers, builders, suppliers, and project owners to keep a project coordinated and coherent. I have learned to anticipate what each part of the building process needs to do its job well.
Bardowl grew from that experience. It brings consulting, design, and supply under one standard so a project is fully understood long before money starts moving.
Bardowl Heritage focuses on the redesign, preservation, and re-adaptation of existing buildings for future, sustained use. Biophilic design, sustainable building materials, and proven green construction methods drive the practice. We follow emerging methods closely and bring them in when they have earned a place.
Fire safety, certification, and code approval are part of the work from the beginning.
I look forward to the conversation.

Twenty-five years in lumber, engineered wood, and structural timber. Nineteen of them at the engineered design desk for one of the Midwest's leading wholesale lumber distributors.
Bardowl, and every tool on this site, came out of that work.
Why most projects fail before construction.
Senior judgment before a project commits money.
